General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for writing to HCM.
From your blood test report, here are the conclusions that can be drawn:
1. Your kidney function test is normal.
2. Your liver function test shows derangement in enzymes AST & ALT levels. Although total protein level is normal, but albumin levels is decreased.
3. Minerals namely calcium and phosphorus are within normal range, though calcium is on the lower normal level.
4. Serum electrolytes namely sodium, potassium and chlorides are normal.
5. Your diabetic is fairly under control. HbA1c levels should be 6.5 or less to be under good control.

What doctor has advised is fine to take care of your liver enzyme alteration.
It is advisable that you need to stop taking alcohol completely, as alcohol can precipitate the symptoms of liver dysfunction.
Also you need to keep a check on diet and modify your exercise pattern, so that glucose levels are under check.
Hope this helps you to maintain and keep good help. All the best.
